The Maliyan Way to Awareness
This stage is about increasing Cultural awareness to deepen self-knowledge and lay the foundations for competence. During this workshop participants will examine both the positive and negative aspects of Cultural difference.
During the Maliyan Way to Awareness stage you will investigate the following five topic areas; Racism, Identity, Culture, Socio-political and Community Engagement.
For your convenience and to assist with meeting your training requirements we offer both online training and face-to-face workshops for individuals and groups.

ONLINE: We recognise that for organisations there are time and money benefits to utilising an online training resource. By choosing to complete the Maliyan Way to Awareness online you will examine Aboriginal Culture in the context of Australian society. We will take you on a journey using a range of media - case studies, readings, videos and questions. The Maliyan Way to Awareness stage will take approximately 6 hours to complete. At the end you will receive a Certificate of Participation.
WORKSHOP: Interactive workshops are designed to provide an environment that is safe and comfortable allowing positive group participation. During this one day workshop you will examine Aboriginal Culture in the context of both Australian society and your workplace. Our workshop facilitators are Aboriginal and have more than 50 years' experience. At the end of the day participants will receive a Certificate of Participation and will be sent a transcript of completion of the Statement of Attainment in Partnering with Aboriginal Communities (166-17647V01).
