THE MALIYAN EXPERIENCE

Supporting Cultural Excellence through training

Stages:

The six stages of the Maliyan Experience

There are six essential stages that you or your employees need to go through to become more Culturally competent. Each stage has been developed in order to build on the skills and knowledge gained in the previous stages. This way Cultural competence is developed over time through implementation processes.

Where to start? We believe that building Cultural competence begins with a process of personal reflection on Cultural identity, and recognising the impact it has on personal and organisational practices.  The most important element in Cultural competence is self-knowledge and having the capacity for Cultural self-assessment.  In this stage participants will identify their organisation's Cultural assumptions in The Maliyan Experience Quiz.
